Shopify is awesome. It's easy to set up and it just works. And so does our app.

By installing it from the Shopify App Store, you can immediately start selling EPUB, MOBI and PDF files through your Shopify store without worrying about users publishing your books online for free.

Getting started

1. Install the app. Find LemonInk in the Shopify App Store and install it in your store. You'll be taken back to LemonInk to connect the store to your account — pick an existing account or create a new one.

2. Add your files. Go to Your files and upload the ebooks you want to sell. LemonInk uses these master files to generate a personalised, watermarked copy for every buyer.

3. Link products to files. On each file, search for the matching product from your Shopify store and link them together. You only need to link the products that should be watermarked — LemonInk automatically skips any order line it doesn't recognise. The product picker reads variants straight from your store, so you can link a specific variant when needed.

4. Show the download link at checkout. On the store page you'll find the LemonInk app block — add it to your Thank you and Order status pages from Shopify's checkout customisation. That's where your customers will pick up their watermarked files after buying.

How orders are handled

Once everything is linked, there's nothing left to do. When a customer places an order and it's marked as paid, Shopify notifies LemonInk, we watermark the matching files with the buyer's details and make the download link available on the order — ready on the Thank you and Order status pages. You'll see every order appear on your store's dashboard within seconds.
